As Jesus approached the pool of Bethesda, he saw a man who had been ill for 38 years.

          “When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, ‘Do you  want to be healed?’ The sick man answered him, ”Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; while I am going, another steps down before me.’ Jesus said to him ‘Rise, take up your mat, and walk.’ Immediately the man became well, took up his mat, and walked.” John 5:6-9

Do you want to be healed?  Healing the whole person involves inner healing of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves.  We are not a soul in a body, but an integrated body and soul.

We will feature a First Class Relic of St. Philip Neri at this retreat. St. Philip Neri’s body lies incorrupt in the church of  Santa María en Vallicella, He was a humble priest who wasn’t afraid to use a little humor to make a point.  He is the patron saint of joy, humor and merrymaking.

Fr. Jerry Byrd was raised as a Baptist. When a high school friend converted to Catholicism, he decided to go to Mass to see what it was all about. He was immediately drawn to the beauty of the liturgy and the the truth of the Blessed Sacrament.  His journey to the Catholic faith led to his ordination to the priesthood in 2012.
