Description
At 11 years old, Imelda longed to receive her First Communion. Once when she was praying before the Blessed Sacrament, the sacristan saw a light hovering above her head and told the priest. The priest came and immediately knew it was the glorious light of the Eucharist. He administered her First Communion, and left Imelda with a glowing smile on her face. She remained there for a a long time until a nun came to call her for dinner. The nun tried to tap her shoulder but Imelda’s body fell to the floor. She had died of ecstasy upon receiving the Eucharist.
