St. Benedict of Nursia was a monk from the 5th and 6th centuries and founder of the Order of St. Benedict.  He is known for the Rule of St. Benedict which prescribed the rubrics for religious life for monks.  He is especially known for protection for evil, temptations, witchcraft, poison and various illnesses.

Length varies: appprox. 36″

Cords may be worn, kept in a prayer book and be present during devotions.  They are a physical reminder of a saint’s life and a prompt for prayerful intercession.
