What are holy relic oils?

Holy relic oils are oils that have been touched and/ or spent time in the presence of Saint(s) relics. They are 100% olive oil.

Are holy relic oils sacramentals?

A relic oil (when touched to a saint’s relic) is a third-class relic that is similar to a sacramental in that is disposes the soul toward grace through faith, veneration, and the intercession of the saint. However, it becomes a sacramental when it is blessed by a priest. All of our oils are blessed by a Catholic priest in the Traditional Latin Rite before they are shipped.

Neither the oil or the blessing are being sold – the oil is given in exchange for a donation and the blessing is a free courtesy from us to you.

How do you use holy relic oils?

Relic oils are meant to be used in faith for private devotion, not superstition. It is not the oil itself that brings about a healing, miracle, or grace but God through the saint’s intercession.

• Keep it in your purse or bag as a daily carry item to stay close to the saint
• Rub it on a body part you’re asking God to heal through the saint’s intercession
• Rub it on your hands during Mass and ask the saint to help you pray the Mass
• Bless your spouse, children, and grandchildren by making the sign of the cross on their forehead with the oil
• Just like blessed oil, you can make the sign of the cross on different parts of the body: your forehead, heart, hands, and more.
  
• During prayer times, you can rub it on your hands
• Gift it! It’s a unique gift many Catholics have never been given. If your friend has every statue, medal, and holy card of their favorite saint, they would appreciate an oil that touched that saint’s relic!

Yes, and you should! Numerous miracles have been reported from our customers of miracles due to a saint’s intercession when they used that saint’s relic oil. Can you buy relic oils as a gift?

They would make a great and thoughtful gift, especially for the person who already has many sacramentals.

Isn’t it a sin to buy something that is blessed?

We get this question a lot – and the answer is yes! It is absolutely a sin to buy or sell an item that is blessed, especially for the blessing itself. However, the relic oils and cords we offer for donation and the blessing only happens after your order is submitted and before it’s shipped. The items are not blessed at the time of your order and we are not charging for a blessing. The blessing is simply a courtesy we are happy to provide. We are aware of how difficult it can be to locate a Catholic priest in the Traditional Latin Rite to bless your item after you receive it depending on where you live, so we automatically ship every sacramental after it has been blessed. This is done automatically – you do not need to request the blessing.
