The relic is contained in a crucifix that was used for many years all over the world by Fr. Rookey as he prayed over people during his healing masses. Fr. Rookey entrusted this crucifix to OSMM shortly before he died and it is displayed for veneration within the Sanctuary of the Sorrowful Mother. Fr. Rookey was the first mentor and spiritual Father for OSMM. He was instrumental in the development of the ministry.
