The vial of oil, card and medal were all touched to a First Class Relic of the True Cross. The relic is contained in a crucifix that was used for many years all over the world by Fr. Rookey as he prayed over people during his healing masses. Fr. Rookey entrusted this crucifix to OSMM shortly before it died. It is within the chapel we have dedicated to this holy priest. Fr. Rookey was the first mentor and spiritual Father for OSMM. He was instrumental in the beginning of the ministry.
