Contains a 1 oz vial of Blessed and Exorcised Olive Oil, Holy Card and Medal of St. André Bessette
OSMM has a First Class Relic of St. André Bessette which was obtained from St. Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal in Montreal, Canada where St. André lived until his death at age 91.
Due to his frail health and lack of a formal education, when Brother André was admitted to the Congregation of the Holy Cross, he was assigned as doorkeeper of Notre Dame College in Montreal. He continued this assignment as a professed brother. Among his many duties, he greeted visitors and tended to their needs. Many people began to experience physical healings after praying with Brother André, and his reputation as a healer began to spread. Br. André knew the real source of the healings were due to the intercession of St. Joseph.
The Oratory attracted large numbers of pilgrims, and plans were made to construct a large basilica. Brother André’s full-time ministry for the rest of his life was to receive the long lines of sick visitors who flocked to the Oratory to see him. He became known as the “Miracle Man of Montreal,” and thousands of miraculous healings were attributed to his intercession over the following decades.
The reliquary contains the blood of this humble and holy saint. The oil, holy card and medal have all been touched to this First Class Relic.
Oil, holy card and medal have been blessed in the Traditional Latin Rite which includes a blessing of exorcism.
